Why did I choose York Hospital's residency program?
I chose York for the amazing people, full spectrum FM training including solid inpatient and pediatric exposure, and opportunity to mento medical students in a community hospital atmosphere. The people at York are genuinely the most welcoming and warm people you will meet. Everyone from your fellow residents to your attendings really look out for each other. The training and instruction from other residents and attendings is fantastic! FM is highly respected and valued at our hospital. This is so important especially during your first year rotations in various specialties. York offers a learning environment in which you feel comfortable asking questions as you foster your skills as a new resident. All of our attendings are extremely approachable and always willing to help. There are no pediatric residents at York. So as FM residents, you are the primary peds team! This is great training exposure, which I did not see at other opposed programs. I am so happy I chose York, and couldn’t imagine training anywhere else. |
