 WellSpan York Hospital 

  • 580-bed community teaching hospital which serves a population of over 520,000 from south-central Pennsylvania and the northern Maryland area.  
  • One of only 400 members of the prestigious Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH) 
  • Regional Medical Campus of Drexel University College of Medicine  
  • Medical Simulation Center supports a robust training program in technical, interprofessional and communication competencies 
  • Over 150 residents and fellows are based at WellSpan York Hospital for their training, and more than 400 medical students complete clinical rotations here yearly.

  • 1978 to 1989 Charles E. Schlager, MD 
  • 1989 to 2002 Richard W. Sloan, MD 
  • 2002 to 2011 Bruce M. Bushwick, MD 
  • 2011 to present Stacey Robert, MD
