Jane Zendarski grew up in a northeastern Pennsylvania coal-mining town named for the Native Americans that settled there. She is a coal-miner’s granddaughter, a mailman’s daughter and a teamster’s sister. She was a physician assistant before becoming a doctor. Her interests include skin maladies, acupuncture, doctor-patient relationship, spirituality in medicine and prevention of physician burnout. She enjoys short term medical mission trips to developing countries.
