Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is highly valued by both the WellSpan York Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program and the Department of Emergency Medicine.  Differences which make us unique as individuals serve to make us stronger as a team.  By embracing these differences, we are able to create and maintain a respectful and supportive environment in which to pursue our missions of excellence in teaching and in service to our patients.  Each year, Medical Education holds a Diversity and Inclusion summit including residents from all specialties.  Last year's speaker was Dr. Robert McDade, ACMGE Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer.
