WellSpan Health was recently represented at the Society for General Internal Medicine (SGIM) 2023 meeting outside of Denver, Colorado.

Mahrukh Majeed, a resident physician at WellSpan York Hospital, presented two cases at the annual meeting, which focused on the fundamental changes that the healthcare field and those who work in it have experienced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first case, PS4-143 Splenic Infarction, a Rare Presentation and Complication of Infectious Mononucleosis, was co-authored by Nida Rizvi, an academic hospitalist at WellSpan York Hospital.

The second case, PS4-145 A Rare Case of Isolated CNS Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), was co-authored by Nida Rizvi and Muhammad Adeel Samad, a resident physician at WellSpan York Hospital.
