The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) formally granted Initial Accreditation to our new WellSpan Health Psychiatry Residency Program.   

This new Residency Program is approved for six residents per year, over a four-year training period. We will welcome the program’s first residents in July 2025. 

Program director, Dr. Fran Sparrow, along with Dr. John Dolena, Dr. Nidhi Garg, Penny McCormick, Christy Roelke, and the entire Behavioral Health team have been hard at work, planning, building the curriculum and rotations, and working through the accreditation process.   

We are looking forward to changing the region's behavioral health training and care via this new Residency Program.
