On April 15, Dr. Lynn McGowan, the Medical Director of the WellSpan York Hospital Medical Simulation Center, hosted an education session for York College students. 

The York College Pre-Med Simulation Day event provided an opportunity for WellSpan to host approximately twenty college students interested in pursuing a career in medicine. 

While on site, students first participated in a multi-disciplinary panel discussion on the road to medicine. They then separated into small groups to rotate through five different medical skills station, including IV placement, suturing and airway procedures. 

Throughout the day, York College students were engaged in mentorship activities and hands-on clinical skills, which provided them exposure to numerous different medical specialties and training pathways.
