WellSpan Health congratulates Dr. Andrew Amparo, ambulatory internal medicine associate residency program director and medical student faculty/clerkship director, for his recent selection to be inducted into the Drexel University College of Medicine Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

The Gold Humanism Honor Society has chapters based at each medical school nationwide. Every year, up to four faculty are selected based on nominations by medical students, who are asked to identify teaching attendings who most embody humanism in medicine.

Dr. Amparo completed his residency program at WellSpan York Hospital, after graduating from St. Georges University School of Medicine. He will be inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society at the Annual Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society Banquet next month in Philadelphia.
